Oundle Town Rowing Club is delighted to announce that we have secured a new Eight (8+) for the fleet. After inspection at St Peter’s School, the boat was found to be in excellent condition and offers outstanding value for the club. It is a high-quality Vespoli shell that will strengthen our resources and open up new opportunities for all members.

This acquisition would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our members and sponsors. Whilst we are still in the process of collecting donations, a special thank you goes to those who have suggested their pledges and donations towards the boat, and to Jason Burns, who's business has provided sponsorship to ensure the full purchase of the boat. A list of recognition for those members will be provided once all finalised.
The boat is planned for delivery next Friday 10th October.

If you are willing to donate or be part of this project, there is still time. Please email jwhburns@gmail.com.
The new Eight will benefit the whole club. It will provide:
- Greater flexibility for training across all squads.
- Better access for Learn to Row and development crews.
- Improved opportunities for competitive racing.
- Reduced strain on our existing fleet.
While the Men’s Sweep Squad may be one of the first groups to use the boat, it will be managed as a club resource for the benefit of all members. This ensures inclusivity and long-term value for everyone at OTRC.
We look forward to welcoming the boat to Oundle in the coming week and to seeing it on the water very soon. This marks an exciting step forward for the club, and once again we thank everyone who has helped to make it possible.
