British Rowing membership is required before starting the course.
This provides you with personal injury and liability insurance - essential for all rowers whether racing or not.
We'll arrange this for you as part of the registration process.
After completing the course, you'll receive 12 weeks of free club membership to give rowing a proper try.
During this period, you can attend supervised coached sessions at the following times:
- Saturday 12pm sessions
- Thursday 6:30pm sessions (during summer/light evenings)
- Tuesday & Wednesday mornings (when available and competent)
Please note: During this transition period, you must row in a supervised, coached environment.
You won't be able to book boats out independently - all rowing must be during the scheduled sessions above.
This gives you the best chance to fully experience rowing before becoming a full club member.
The vast majority of our Learn to Row graduates go on to become full members of the club!
