An ERG-TASTIC Performance

A MASSIVE WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH!

Two brilliant performances by Jon Heaney and Chris Jackson at the British Indoor ERG Championships.

The whole club is in awe and very impressed with their achievements and especially proud are the coaches, who've helped them get to the levels they are now reaching. We all know how much effort it takes and what you have had to put in training wise to get here, but we know there is more to come too.

What can we say, Jon Heaney absolutely smashed it! He sat patiently at the back waiting for things to kick off, hands on his hips, but on the green light he did what he does best and ...............

........ then finished first in his category, 12 seconds ahead of his closest rival with a time of 7:07.7.

Brilliant performance and as usual Jon took it all in his stride, even his celebration on the podium (see Facebook post for the video).

Backing Jon up was Chris Jackson (who is in his first 12 months of rowing remember) with a time under 7 minutes, which is excellent, great work and we know he will push on from here!

All in all a fantastic performance by both guys and you can be super proud of yourselves, well done from us all at OTRC.
